Cynthia (Cindy) M. Fogarty – Biography
Cindy Fogarty lives on Ausdale Road in the Forest Hills area of Cranston with her husband of just over 20 years, Bob. They have two children, a son, Pat, 19 years old, and a daughter, Shannon, 16.

Cindy is an attorney with her office in Calart Tower since 2000. Cindy was born in Providence, graduated from Classical High School and Providence College SCE with a BS in Business Administration. She attended RWU School of Law in Bristol, RI, graduating cum laude in 1998. She is a member of the RI Bar Association and offers assistance with the Volunteer Lawyer Program.

In 2006, in order to continue the progress made in Cranston’s fiscal stability, she ran for Mayor of Cranston, but lost in the Democrat primary.
Cindy has served her community as a volunteer in a number of ways over her professional career. She worked with high school students in the Junior Achievement business program for many years; taught CCD classes while at St. Anthony’s parish in Providence; worked with the Boy Scouts in Troop 6, Cranston; served as “milk mom” and many other committees at her children’s school; and served on United Way’s Allocation Panels.
Cindy is an Adjunct Professor at Johnson & Wales University, teaching in the Legal Studies Department. She is also a volunteer Board Member with the Greater Cranston Chamber of Commerce. She and her family attend St. Mark’s parish in Garden City.
